A new event series

Regional Futures: In Focus is a new event series, developed by Regional Development Australia Murray, to explore the major trends, investments and opportunities shaping the future of regional Australia.

Building on the momentum of the Regional Futures Forum, the series is designed to take big-picture conversations and turn them into practical, industry-focused discussions that connect regional businesses, government, infrastructure providers and community leaders with emerging opportunities and real-world change.

Mark Gjerek

Mark has been a driving force in Australia’s transport decarbonisation for nearly two decades. His career has spanned the auto industry (Toyota), the truck industry (Volvo), NSW government, and 15 years working as an advisor to fleets, government, and industry to reduce truck emissions here and overseas.

He founded MOV3MENT Consulting 10 years ago to accelerate adoption of zero emission vehicles and fuels. Since then, his team has published landmark reports, developed national rating schemes, accelerated policy reforms, built education campaigns, and paved the way for dozens of companies unsure about the EV future.
